Custom Coated and Hydro dipped Grips
This old original Wolverine was completely worn and in desperate need of a makeover. The customer had specific ideas, and Tom immediately went to work to cover each request.
It was coated in a two-tone, and the grips were hydro dipped in carbon fiber. The two-tone coating gives the metal parts a fresh, even finish after years of wear had left them patchy. Then the grips were dipped in carbon fiber, a pattern that gives a modern, technical look and contrasts nicely with the solid colors. Working from a customer’s specific requests means each step is checked against their vision. A careful refinish gives an older pistol like this Wolverine a fresh look. It’s a good reminder that a worn finish doesn’t mean a gun is done.
