Ruger LC9 Mirror Polish Slide Muddy Bronze
This Ruger LC9 was coated in the shop’s custom Muddy Bronze Cerakote, and then Tom gave the slide a high mirror polish.
Tom admits the polished slide was a bit of a challenge, but after many hours he got it looking pretty amazing. The bright, reflective slide over the warm bronze frame makes this compact carry pistol look like a premium custom piece.
Mirror polishing a slide means working through progressively finer abrasives until there are no visible scratches, then buffing to a reflective finish. It’s labor-intensive but the result is unmistakable. The LC9 is small, so every flat had to be worked by hand without rounding the edges.
