“Love Burnt Bronze.” That short caption says it all about this Glock slide, finished in Cerakote Burnt Bronze. Burnt Bronze is a warm metallic with a coppery depth that shifts as light hits it. Over a black polymer frame it gives a Glock a rich, upscale look without being flashy. Slide-only jobs are a quick,…
“Sometimes you just gotta black it out.” This Sig P6 got exactly that treatment, with every exterior part coated in black and shown alongside its holster. The P6 is the West German police version of the P225, a slim single-stack 9mm many owners find as surplus with worn, patchy finishes from years of duty carry….
“Well, this is different!” Tom’s reaction to this pair fits: a Hi-Point 9mm with “We The People” lettering, plus a skull knife coated in a matching finish. Coating a pistol and a knife together is an unusual job, but it gives the owner a true set. The constitutional phrase on the slide carries a patriotic…
This custom AR rifle was finished in a two-tone of Coyote Tan and Graphite Black. Coyote Tan is a warm, earthy shade that suits outdoor use, while Graphite Black is a deep charcoal that’s softer than pure black. Splitting the two across the rifle’s parts gives the AR a classic tactical look with plenty of…
This Glock .40 slide wears a barbed wire design that wraps around its length. Barbed wire is an edgy, rugged motif. The twisted strands and sharp points give the slide a tough look, and the pattern reads clearly against the base color from across the counter. Fine line work like this takes precise stencil cutting….
Sometimes less is more. On this Sig P226 the shop coated only the frame, in tan, and left the black slide as it was. The P226 is a full-size service pistol used by military and law enforcement units around the world. A tan frame under a black slide gives it a sharp, purposeful two-tone look…
“Yes, a little over the top for this Hi-Point, but it was worth everything we threw at her.” This 9mm got a full Americana flag theme and a matching stand with 1776 on it. Tom joked that the project proves you can put lipstick on a pig. Hi-Points are known as inexpensive, chunky pistols, but…
Two Glock .40s, finished as a pair in tan and grey with Second Amendment lettering. Matching pistols suit couples, partners and family members who want guns that go together. Tan and grey give both a practical, tactical look, and the lettering adds a shared message about the right to keep and bear arms. Doing two…
This Winchester 7mm rifle and its scope were both coated in a soft special camo. A soft camo uses blended edges rather than crisp shapes, so colors fade into each other. That style breaks up a rifle’s outline in the field and gives it a natural, subtle look. Coating the scope along with the rifle…
A Ruger 10/22 rifle, finished in a bold tiger camo. Tiger camo uses horizontal stripes inspired by patterns from the Vietnam era. On the 10/22 the stripes give the little rimfire a striking, retro military look. The 10/22 is a well-known .22 rifle for plinking, small game and teaching new shooters. Owners customize them endlessly…
